Our Story
Established as an official chapter of the Christian Bowhunters of America in July 2014, the REAL Tree Archers is the second Virginia Chapter and is located in the Central part of the Old Dominion. Our ministry is based in an area around Culpeper, Orange and Madison counties.
We want to expand the ministry of the CBA to the bowhunters and archery enthusiasts and to share the love, joy and peace of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ to everyone through the art of archery and bowhunting.
We provide outreach at sportsman's expositions, partner with local churches, participate with a local archery shop at 3D shoots, conduct game dinners and plan to expand the ministry to eventually include youth hunts.
We would be honored to discuss our ministry with any local church or organization, and would be happy to speak in your church or group.
The Real Tree Archers strictly adhere to the Christian Bowhunters of America Statement of Faith.
On July 14, 2016, RTA became fully recognized as a public charity under the Federal Tax Exemption Code of 501 (c) 3. This allows all donations to be claimed as a tax deduction by individuals and organizations.
In November 2016, RTA acquired a Hoverball target from Global Archery that will be used to introduce first time archery shooters and especially youths to archery and Jesus Christ. If you are interested in using the target at an event, please contact us.
In January 2019, RTA conducted their "first" Game Dinner at Abundant Life Christian Fellowship. We pray that this will be an annual event.

Jennifer Frazier
We tragically lost our beloved Jennifer in 2023. She was always a faithful serving member of the ministry whom we all dearly loved. We know that she loved the Lord and was always willing to help in any activity that REAL Tree Archers participated in. She truly reflected the joy in her heart and her faith, especially when she would talk to people about Jesus Christ.
